Gliomas In The United Kingdom

by Barney Freedmanin Health / Cancer    (submitted 2012-04-24)

According to the Private Healthcare UK site, Glioma is a common brain tumour that is found within the glial cells. Glial cells are cells found in the brain but are not neural cells. The main function is to maintain homeostasis and support the more critical functions of the neurons. There are about as many neurons as there are glials in the brain.

By playing a supporting role, glial cells promote the critical functions of neurons. Neurons are, off course the main actors of the brain function. The glial cells control the environment that these actors perform their functions. Glial cells especially regulate the liquid cushion and nutrition bank that feeds the neurons. In essence it supports and promotes neurons. When the glial cells are damaged or otherwise inhibited, the particular neuron they support will be compromised.

In the UK it has been seen that gliomas are the most common forms of brain cancer. The problem with gliomas is that it invades the cells that support critical functions of the entire body when it affects the glials. There are a number of ways to rectify the situation but what is available in the UK is basically the same western medicine. First surgery, followed by either radiation or chemotherapy. There are numerous problems with this. First, Surgery needs to be laser-precise. It needs to be so accurate that when large areas of affected gliomas are removes, the glials and their neurons are not extricated as well. But this is not necessary feasible, there is definite destruction of some glials and the risk of significant damage is very real.

As the surgery is completed, with some glials destroyed and some gliomas untouched, the physicians move on to the next phase whereby they assault the glioma with either radiation or chemotherapy. The problem with either of these courses of action is that it wrks in eliminating all cells, not just the invading cancer cells but also the healthy glial cells and the healthy neurons. The western answer to glioma is grossly inaccurate and highly crude in its execution.

However, there is a response and a resolution to fighting gliomas in the UK. This is the use of natural substances. One such substance that has been part of the ayurvedic course of treatment in the UK came from India during colonial times. Its prevalence in the UK is inhibited by unclear regulations but it is nonetheless receiving favourable responses. It is the use of marijuana seeds in targeting gliomas.

The consumption of the seed in grain form is not to be confused with inhaling the smoke. It has nothing to do with that. It is purely to consume the seed and has no intoxicating effects, but the active ingredient naturally targets the gliomas and annihilates it.
